Design Systems Company Research

The first company I chose to research is Boeing. Boeing is the world's largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial jetliners and defense, space and security systems.

Problem Statement:

Being a leading producer of aircraft and aerospace technology calls for high standards and a strong set of company values in an age where technology is constantly evolving, and quality assurance is scarce. Boeing considers itself the foundation of innovation for aerospace technology and aims to inspire and focus employees on a shared future to reaffirm that together, we can meet the challenges ahead.

To be the best in Aerospace and maintain status as global industrial champion.

Connect, protect, explore, and inspire the world through Aerospace Innovation.

Boeing's strategy to obtain these goals is as follows:

  • Operate as one Boeing
  • Build strength on strength
  • Sharpen & accelerate to win

Here are some images that I feel represent Boeing's vision and commercial presence.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Problem Statement:

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is dedicated to providing the best care for its patients. They strive to be at the cutting-edge of medical research in fighting life-threatening diseases like cancer while freeing families from the burden of the cost. Most insurances don't cover the costs of these treatments and families are often displaced from work to care for their family member. No child should ever be denied a potentially life-saving treatment because of finances.

As a children's research hospital, St. Jude must be able to provide lifesaving care to patients regardless of economic fluctuations. They must maintain the ability to research and treat life-threatening childhood diseases for patients now and in the future.

St. Jude aims to plan for the needs of today and tomorrow by securing a reserve fund for medical research through donors and grants. Families are never sent a bill for services so they are able to nurture and care for their loved ones without the burden of medical debt. The patients are followed for ten years after their treatment.
